Webcam Guitar Lessons
If you’ve never taken a webcam lesson before, you’ll be surprised. You can accomplish a ton in a guitar lesson held via webcam.
My specialty is helping guitarists take big leaps forward in their playing by focusing on three major areas:
1. Technical Fine-Tuning
Are you able to do everything you want and need to do on the guitar in order to make the music you most want to make? It helps to become conscious of your Technique. Let’s break what you’re doing down to see if your current technical approach to playing the guitar will be able to carry you forward as far as you want to go. And let’s develop a strategic game plan for how you can refine and perfect your technique to unleash your genius on the guitar.
2. How to Practice
Practice is a true artform. Are you pleased with the results you’re getting from your practice time? If not, definitely drop me a line and set up a lesson–I can completely reform your relationship to practice and help you make more progress in less time. If, that is, you’re willing to do what it takes (i.e.–slow way down and pay attention to your playing like never before!). I call all of this Method, and I’ll help you get clear on what yours is so you can get on with getting better in your playing.
3. Plateau Annihilation
Stuck? Great! Let’s get you unstuck. Regain your passion for the guitar by coordinating a full-spectrum approach to practicing and playing that will absolutely dislodge you from the Plateau. If you have a Technique and you have a Method, you’ll be able to bid a fond farewell to those interminable stays on the Plateau. Once your Technique and Method are solid, we’ll apply the best of personal development and guitar development to custom-design a program that will reignite your fire for the guitar and help you take giant leaps forward.
All of these approaches generally work together, but it helps to hone in on one in any given lesson to really get some traction.
In addition to these Big Three areas of focus for guitar lessons, I’m also happy to help you with specifics related to your genre, style and/or repertoire of choice.
My areas of specialty are mostly in the fingerstyle domain, but I have a decade of folk, acoustic rock and bluegrass guitar playing under my belt and can assist you in those genres and others.
I’ve been playing for 15 years, and I’ve been teaching for 5. I have a degree from Stanford University in Interdisciplinary Humanities, which means I know how to communicate efficiently for maximum impact. If you’re motivated and ready to tackle new zones of guitar music, then drop me a line and let’s schedule a webcam lesson.
I use Skype for webcam guitar lessons. It’s free and easy to use.
