In this section, you will find a wealth of in-depth text+video articles covering many aspects of guitar playing. These free online guitar lessons can help anyone just starting out to avoid developing bad habits on the guitar.

In addition to personal study direct with teachers, I have benefited greatly from some fantastic guitar books. This is a very non-exhaustive list of some of the main books that I have found useful.
I regularly use these books with my students depending on what my students are wanting to learn. Not everyone is interested in learning The Principles of Correct Practice for Guitar. But for those who are, it is a fantastic resource.

One of the greatest aspects of learning music is participating in the tradition of learning that has been passed from teacher to student over generations. I am deeply grateful for the amazing teachers I’ve been able to learn from. This is a quick overview of some of the teachers who have had the greatest impact on me through the one-on-one lessons I’ve taken with them.
