In addition to personal study direct with teachers, I have benefited greatly from some fantastic guitar books. This is a very non-exhaustive list of some of the main books that I have found useful.
I regularly use these books with my students depending on what my students are wanting to learn. Not everyone is interested in learning The Principles of Correct Practice for Guitar. But for those who are, it is a fantastic resource.

One of the greatest aspects of learning music is participating in the tradition of learning that has been passed from teacher to student over generations.
